We understand you have many questions regarding your catering options at this unprecedented time in respect of your special day. Thank you for your positive responses to date and your patience in allowing us the time to address the ongoing situation, we are truly grateful for the kindness and politeness we have been shown thus far.
We are monitoring Government updates daily and we will adopt these changes as soon as possible and in the best methods available to ensure that you can still have your special day at some point in the future.
Following the closure of all of the venues where Jenkinsons are either sole, approved or designated caterer we have taken the decision to suspend the operational side of our business with immediate effect until such a time that the government allow us to re-commence trading, which from current information appears to be the 31st May 2020.
We are retaining a team which allows us to continue to deal with your day to day queries so that when the time comes, we can quickly spring back into action! We are following Government guidelines in respect of social distancing and home working and whilst our office and hub at Central Support will still be manned in line with this policy we are asking anyone with any questions to email email@example.com.(Our phones have currently been set to answerphone to avoid any frustration of being held in a queue and if you have asked for a call to be returned in your email please consider calls may be from a withheld number due to homeworking policies).
Our team will then get back to you as soon as possible and will be answering your questions in order of receipt.
Catering Policy for couples with an event date from 21st March 2020 to 31st May 2020
In line with the policy issued by Venues (which may vary dependent upon your venue), Jenkinsons have adopted the same policy and you have the following options:
1. Make a Claim on Your Wedding Insurance
We understand that as Venues were closed by the relevant authority wedding insurance policies may now be valid for pay out. If you can successfully claim this may be your best option as you could cancel your wedding and reclaim expenses incurred. You then gain the flexibility to rebook your special day at you own convenience.
2. Postpone your Wedding Celebration to a Future Date
If you cannot claim on your Wedding Insurance, we understand that Venues may be allowing you to postpone your celebration to a future date (Please refer to Venue COVID-19 publications for further details). Under this option if you have already paid any monies to us, we will undertake to hold prices quoted as far is possible. As you will appreciate these prices may be exposed inflating food costs between now and your new Celebration date. We will do our utmost to ensure any increases will not require a new catering quote.
Your money is safe!
Although we are not a regulated industry in respect of holding monies received in advance of your event our shareholders require us to maintain cash reserves to a considerable amount above deposits held – please be assured that any monies you have paid to date are safely maintained.
Please be assured that we are working hard in these challenging times and although our phones are no longer manned, we will be in touch at your request as soon as we possibly can – we still plan to have meetings by phone, Face Time or Skype!
