Christmas at Blist Hill Victorian Town - Ironbridge
What a fantastic weekend we all had at Blist Hill Victoria Town in Ironbridge! For two consecutive weekends (10th & 11th, and 17th & 18th December 2011) we all got into the Christmas spirit and celebrated in style! With traditional celebrations from the 1800s, we had the chance to listen to stories of life more than 100 years ago and even had the chance to do some Christmas present shopping.
Everyone there enjoyed the fantastic entertainment that was put on, this included:
- Christmas carols
- Brass Band
- A food demonstration by the fantastic chef Simon Smith
- Stalls packed with Christmas goods
- Santa and his reindeers
- Punch and Judy
- Festive Songs and Stories
- Mr Morton’s Christmas Party
It was the perfect weekend for visitors to look around the wonderful, working Victorian Town and get a chance to soak up the historical atmosphere that surrounds Blist Hill. As well as enjoying the Christmas entertainment, this enabled us all the get into the festive spirit.
